Reflective blog #2

This week in econ we have learned many of things.  It was the third week of school, so everyone is just getting into the flow of things, and everyone appears to be settling in nicely.  We have learned a lot in econ this week, we even had our first test....   It wasn't too bad, everyone appeared to have done quite well on it.  We began to learn about the three different types of economies, and what nations represent them, and have them.  We learned about Karl Marx and all of his ideas, and concepts, and philosophies on economics.  I personally find Karl Marx to be a very interesting person.  He has some very interesting views on the world and society and most, if not all, of his ideas and philosophies is still applicable today.  He also single handily without really setting out to exactly, impacted the lives of million is not billions.  He has had a huge impact on our world today and continues to have impacts on people everyday.  He gave rise to one the largest and probably most influential communist nation, former Soviet Russia.  Even today people are still learning about him and what he thought.  In itself its amazing how interesting and almost befuddling, how close, and dear we can hold someones thoughts.  But Karl Marx seems like a very interesting character.  I look forward to learning a bit more about him and his impact on the worlds economic atmosphere.

  2. I wish humans were capable of Karl Marx's ideas of a perfect society. Unfortunately the human race has to work a little harder before we try his ideas out as we saw in Soviet Russia. It's sad that his ideas were used to form bad things, but that doesn't mean Karl Marx is a bad person.

  3. I agree with you about how Karl Marx is a interesting person. It would be nice to see his works played out perfectly, but it has been twisted around.

  4. Karl Marx was interesting but honestly the idea of communism would never work. Even though it had good intentions it depended completely on the dictators to not go power hungry.

  5. I never agreed with Marx because if wealth is always evenly distributed then what motivation is there to work harder

  6. I agree with Joey here. People should all have equal opportunity rather than equal wealth. All people have the same opportunity to be able to become wealthy. Only the people that try hard enough should deserve the money.

  7. I agree with Joey and Ray. All should have equal opportunity rather than equal wealth. People who are more motivated and work harder deserve money.
